The One Ring
The Widow once had a name – but until her quest is complete, she has vowed not to utter it. Only a year ago, the Widow was a wife and a mother, a Beorning who admired and respected her people’s leader, Beorn. But when slavers came and murdered her husband and stole her son — and she turned to Beorn for help in her time of greatest need — the leader whom she had so loved told her to mourn her loss and move on. He would send no rescue party. He would seek no justice. The Widow pleaded with Beorn and her neighbors, but her pleas went unanswered. So she turned her back on her people, the way Beorn had turned his back on her, and set out to seek justice and vengeance and to find the fate of her beloved lost boy.
